Welcome to Solaria
Sanctuary of Soul & Stone
Solaria is an emerging community project with crystals, rocks, and minerals at its core, currently taking shape in Tasman, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Founded by Amanda Sears and co-stewarded with her daughter, Emma, Solaria explores minerals as a connective thread across science, culture, creativity, and lived experience. It is envisioned as a sanctuary for learning, reflection, and shared curiosity — where people are invited to engage with Earth materials not as objects of belief, but as ancient participants in life on our planet.
Over time, Solaria has grown beyond a single project space into a living body of work, including curated collections, educational resources, writing, events, and community initiatives. As this vision expanded, it became clear that Solaria needed a dedicated home of its own.
Solaria now lives as an independent project with its own website, where the full vision, collections, events, and ongoing work can be explored in depth.

Solaria is currently in its foundational phase. Right now, the focus is on building and caring for the collections, library, and educational resources that form the heart of the sanctuary. The physical site will emerge in time, guided by care, community, and alignment.
