Sanctuary of Soul & Stone
Solaria is a living crystalline project for Earth and beyond, currently in creation in Tasman, New Zealand. Founded by Amanda Sears and co-stewarded with her daughter, Emma Sophia, Solaria is envisioned as a sanctuary where people come together to reconnect with each other, the Earth, and the stars through the wonder of the mineral kingdom.
Here, visitors can witness the magnificent minerals of nature in the museum, reconnect with them in the living library, experience their beauty in the gallery, and even take a precious piece of the Earth home from the Solaria shop.
Solaria honours minerals, crystals, and stones as ancient allies, teachers, and keepers of planetary memory. They are not only found in the Earth beneath our feet and the stars above, but also in everything we touch and use — from the food we eat to the technology in our hands. They weave through every part of life, connecting us to each other and the world around us. They preserve memory, inspire wonder, and remind us how to live in harmony with nature.
Where We Are Now
Solaria is unfolding in strategic and aligned phases. Currently wrapping up Phase 1 — collecting, curating, and cataloguing the mineral heart of the sanctuary with specimens from all over the world: rare international specimens, New Zealand treasures, and historic collections passed through generations. Phase 2 is open now: connecting with likeminded individuals, philanthropists, and not-for-profit investors to purchase and develop a dedicated public site.
On September 21st 2025 a 'Seed Form' of Solaria opened from our home in Tasman, NZ for visitors by appointment to view our shop and take a peek behind the scenes.

This secures our final resources — from museum specimens to microscopes and storage — preparing us to move into Phase 2 with a full collection ready for a public site.
