About John & Amanda Sears
Amanda and John have been together for around 8 years and married for 5 of those. They met at Battle of the Bands in Christchurch in August 2010 - Back when John was lead singer and guitarist in a metal band called Mirikachinist and Amanda was hanging out in the metal scene and studying at Design and Arts College.
They fell in love, Amanda moved back to Dunedin and after getting married in 2013 they moved up to Nelson to settle down, start a family and focus on living a life full of fun and adventure while continuing to pursue their creative passions; Amanda with her art and design and John with his music and photography.
Amanda started her creative career with a small newspaper in Whitianga, in 2007. Since then she has studied briefly at Design and Arts College in Christchurch, and worked in various creative, marketing and management roles in Dunedin and Nelson.
