Meet John & Amanda Sears

Amanda and John have been together for around 15 years and married for 12 of those. They met at Battle of the Bands in Christchurch in August 2010 - Back when John was lead singer and guitarist in a metal band called Mirikachinist and Amanda was hanging out in the metal scene and studying at Design and Arts College.
They fell in love, Amanda moved back to Dunedin, NZ and after getting married in 2013 they moved up to Nelson, NZ to settle down, start a family and focus on living a life full of fun and adventure while continuing to pursue their creative passions.
In 2022 they welcomed the birth of their little girl Emma Sophia and in 2024 they took a leap of faith and sold their house, moved to Tasman, NZ and began a whole new life focusing on family, adventure and creation - even building a brand new music studio!
