Often language can be limiting and when words fail us, energy never does. Energy even speaks louder than words and can also radiate potentials that words couldn't even touch on, but when is the right time to speak, and when is the right time to allow energy to speak for you? How can we learn to discern in each moment the best course of action - or inaction - and what about the power of words and energy aligned...

Many years ago I was strongly inspired by the 'Be Impeccable With Your Word' agreement from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
I used to speak a lot more than I do now and that's saying something, because when I'm around people I still speak a fair bit according to most - but I definitely speak a lot less, and I'm more specific about what I talk about, who I talk to and how I talk. Often I prefer to just feel the energy and observe interactions rather than engage these days.
The first area I changed in how I spoke was the voice in my head. I became more mindful of the chatter and ways in which I was speaking to myself. By bringing my awareness to it eventually that inner voice quietened down completely to silence and there is now only a voice in my head when I am consciously thinking or channeling information.
The next area was my voice out loud. I stopped talking to fill empty spaces, to comfort my nerves in the silence, to overcompensate for insecurities or to justify myself to others. I began focusing more on the joy, connection and learning that conversations gave me, rather than just talking for the sake of talking.
Spending a lot of time by myself over the years taught me the peace in silence, and created space for me to feel the energy underlying the words and expressions of others and learn about my own energetic alignments with my thoughts, words and expressions. I became more confident in myself and spoke less and less unnecessarily or from fear, insecurity, nerves, etc.
As I became more quiet within myself I was able to become more observant of the world around me and actually utilise my senses to interpret life with more understanding and expanded awareness. I could see the way people spoke, their mannerisms and how they held their bodies. I could hear the tremble or strength in their voice and feel the subtle energies emanating from them while they spoke and could determine whether they were speaking their truth or a misalignment to their truth because of fear, lack of self-worth or a desire for power and control.
I learned how language is limited in many ways and can be lies or half-truths, but that energy never lies and speaks louder, and to a deeper resonance than words can. Then came the awareness about the power of using words in combination with energy as powerful tools for creation and inspiration!
This article was actually inspired by contemplating choosing to use energy to speak or to speak my truth verbally, knowing that sometimes it upsets or triggers people. I was seeking a way in which I can better understand this part of my personal truth rather than just not talking at all. It explores ideas and observations of when energy speaks louder than words, when it is a good time to speak up, and the power of words and energy aligned.
In times of grief, conflict, or transformation, our energy can speak louder than words by conveying understanding, compassion, and intention far more powerfully than language can express. By standing in peace and allowing your vibrant energy to communicate, you create a space where healing and change can naturally unfold.
The Power of Energetic Presence
1. Silent Communication: Energy is universal and transcends the limitations of language, offering a form of communication that is felt deeply and intuitively. Your energetic presence can speak volumes, conveying emotions and intentions without uttering a word.
2. The Essence of Being: When words fall short, the essence of your being—your energy—can provide comfort, understanding, and support. It is a reminder of our interconnectedness and shared humanity.
3. Creating Peaceful Space: In moments of tension or distress, a peaceful presence can diffuse negativity and create a safe space for reflection and healing.
4. Radiating Potentials: Just being in a space of peace and love while out and about, your energy can radiate potentials to everyone around you that can reach further and more expansively than words could.
When Energy Speaks: Practical Examples
1. In Times of Grief: When someone experiences loss, words often feel inadequate. Offering your presence, a gentle touch, or a warm embrace can convey empathy and support, honoring their grief with silence and compassion.
2. When Facing Anger: If someone is angry, responding with calm energy rather than reactive words can help de-escalate the situation. Your peaceful presence can provide a contrast to their turmoil, encouraging reflection and resolution.
3. Supporting Those in Pain: When someone lashes out in pain or hurt, meeting them with understanding energy can facilitate healing. Your non-judgmental presence allows them to express their emotions safely.
4. When Desiring Change: To inspire change, embody the energy of the outcome you wish to see. Whether it's peace, positivity, or innovation, your energetic alignment can influence and inspire others more than words alone.
5. When Confronted with Dislike: Encountering something you dislike can evoke strong emotions. By choosing to stand in peace and acceptance, you can transform your perspective, leading by example and fostering a more harmonious environment.
Cultivating Energetic Presence
1. Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness practices that center you in the present moment, enhancing your ability to remain calm and grounded.
2. Nurture Inner Peace: Cultivate inner peace through meditation, breathwork, or time spent in nature. A peaceful heart radiates energy that others can feel and resonate with.
3. Develop Self-Awareness: Strengthen your self-awareness to understand the energy you project. Align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with your desired state of being.
4. Embrace Compassion: Approach every interaction with compassion, recognising the shared humanity in each experience. Compassionate energy heals and connects.
By letting energy speak, we access a profound form of communication that transcends words and touches the heart. In moments where silence is more powerful than speech, your vibrant energy can provide comfort, inspire change, and foster connection. Embrace the silent power of presence, and let your energy guide the way to a world of peace and understanding.
And herein lies the beautiful dance of energy and words!
Understanding when to let your energy speak and when to use your voice is a profound aspect of living authentically and consciously. Let’s explore how to navigate this dynamic interplay, emphasizing speaking from the heart and dealing with responses with grace.
When to Speak
1. Guidance and Intuition: Trust your inner guidance. When you feel a strong, intuitive nudge to speak, honour it. This often indicates a moment where your words can bring clarity, healing, or truth.
2. Alignment with Truth: Speak when your words align with your personal truth and values. If you feel called to speak for a higher purpose or to express love, compassion, or understanding, your voice can be a powerful tool for positive change.
3. Clear Communication: Use words to clarify misunderstandings or communicate boundaries clearly. This helps to maintain integrity in relationships and ensure your needs and intentions are understood.
4. Empowerment and Advocacy: Speak up to empower yourself or others, especially in situations where silence might imply consent to injustice or harm. Your voice can be a catalyst for change and awakening.
How to Speak
1. From the Heart: Speak from the heart, allowing love, compassion, and authenticity to guide your words. This creates a space for genuine connection and understanding.
2. Mindful Language: Be mindful of the language you use. Words carry energy, so choose those that uplift and inspire rather than criticize or harm.
3. Presence and Attunement: Tune into the energy of the situation and the people involved. Ensure your words are attuned to the present moment and the emotional state of your audience.
4. Active Listening: Engage in active listening before speaking. Understanding others’ perspectives can inform your response and foster a more meaningful dialogue.
Dealing with Responses
1. Openness and Non-Attachment: Be open to the responses you receive, whether they align with your expectations or not. Practice non-attachment to outcomes, knowing that your role is to express your truth, not control others’ reactions.
2. Compassionate Engagement: Respond to others with compassion, even if their response differs from yours. Seek to understand their perspective and hold space for diverse viewpoints.
3. Reflect and Integrate: Use responses as opportunities for reflection and growth. Consider any feedback as a tool for personal development and deeper understanding.
4. Boundaries and Self-Care: Maintain healthy boundaries, especially if responses become overwhelming or negative. Prioritise your well-being and step back if needed to recharge and center yourself.
By balancing when to speak and when to let energy communicate, you can foster deeper connections and contribute positively to the world around you. You can also have confidence in the knowing that if you choose not to speak, your energy can still speak for you and is maybe the better choice in some situations.
Let's explore the balance and power of energy AND words aligning...
Sometimes the situation is perfect for letting our energy speak and at other times, the spoken word becomes our chosen platform for expression. But what happens when we harmonise these two forces? The result can be a powerful form of communication.
Harmonising Words and Energy
1. The Synergy of Sound and Vibration: When you speak, your words carry vibrations. By aligning this verbal vibration with your inner energy, you create a resonance that enhances the impact of your message. Think of it as tuning an instrument: when the strings of energy and words are in harmony, the melody is both heard and felt.
2. Intentional Alignment: Before speaking, take a moment to align your energy with your intention. Visualise the essence of what you wish to communicate. As your words flow, allow your energy to flow with them, reinforcing the message with authenticity and clarity.
3. The Power of Presence: Speaking with aligned energy requires presence and mindfulness. It’s about being in the moment, fully aware of both your inner state and your external expression. This presence amplifies both the spoken and unspoken, creating a field of influence that transcends mere words.
4. Creating Transformative Impact: When words and energy unite, they have the power to inspire, heal, and transform. This union can open hearts, shift perspectives, and create connections that transcend the limitations of language. It is this powerful combination that has the potential to create real change in the world.
5. Practical Application: To practice this on yourself, starting with small simple steps. Choose a simple affirmation or intention, and speak it out loud while visualising its energy spreading through your being. Notice how the combination feels and the difference it makes in your communication.
By exploring the harmony between spoken words and energy, we unlock a deeper layer of authentic expression. It is here, in this sacred space, that our communication becomes a powerful force for growth, connection, and transformation.
Embracing Your Voice
Honour Your Inner Voice: Recognize the power of both silence and speech in your personal journey, embracing each with wisdom and discernment.
Flow with Authenticity: Allow your communication to flow naturally, trusting in the authenticity of your energy and words to create harmony and understanding.
Celebrate Expression: Celebrate the ability to express yourself, knowing that both your energy and your words contribute to the tapestry of collective consciousness.
Communication is a powerful tool for connection, inspiration, and transformation, and when used correctly, it can create profound shifts in consciousness and foster a world of harmony and collaboration.
A little note from my heart to yours: Sometimes no matter what you do you will trigger, upset or offend someone, and if you are speaking from the heart, there is nothing you can do about how others will respond - trust that by speaking your truth with love and compassion, you have done your part. Don't let the fears and insecurities of other people create doubt in your voice and in your truth.
Keep shining bright and speaking up when you feel guided, knowing that sometimes energy speaks louder than words, while remembering not to deny your voice.
